Wednesday of the XXIX Week in Ordinary Time

Tuesday, October 21, 2026 Reading from the letter of the Apostle Saint Paul to the Ephesians (3:2-12): You have heard about the distribution of God’s grace that has been given to me in your favor. Since the mystery, of which I have written to you briefly above, was made known to me by revelation. Read it and you will see how I understand the mystery of Christ, which had not been manifested to men in other times, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to his holy apostles and prophets: that the Gentiles also are fellow heirs, members of the same body and partakers of the promise of Jesus Christ, through the Gospel, of which I am a minister by the grace that God gave me with his strength and his power. To me, the most insignificant of all saints, this grace has been given: to announce to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches that is Christ, to clarify to everyone the realization of the mystery, hidden since the beginning of the ages in God, creator of all. Thus, through the Church, the Principalities and Powers in heaven now know the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal plan, realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, through whom we have free and confident access to God, through faith in him. Word of God name, tell the people his exploits, proclaim that his name is excellent. R/. Play for the Lord, who has done mighty deeds, proclaim them to all the earth; Shout for joy, inhabitants of Zion: “How great is the holy one of Israel in your midst.” R/.
