Friday, October 23, 2026 Reading of the letter of the Apostle Saint Paul to the Ephesians (4:1-6): I, the prisoner for the Lord, beseech you to walk as the vocation to which you have been called requires. Always be humble and kind, be understanding, bear each other with love; Strive to maintain the unity of the Spirit with the bond of peace. One body and one Spirit, as one is the hope of the vocation to which you have been summoned. One Lord, one faith, one baptism. A God, Father of all, who transcends all, and penetrates all, and invades all. Word of God the present time? How do you not know how to judge for yourselves what should be done? When you go to the court with whom you are suing, do your best to reach an agreement with him, while you are on the way; lest I drag you before the judge, and the judge hand you over to the guard, and the guard throw you into prison. I tell you, you won’t get out of there until you pay the last cent. Word of the Lord
