To whom much was given, much will be required; To whom much was entrusted, more will be demanded. Saint Luke the Evangelist (Unknown date-84, disciple of Paul of Tarsus, author of the Gospel according to Saint Luke and the Acts of the Apostles.)

Reading of the holy gospel according to Saint Luke (12,39-48): At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: «Understand that if the owner of the house knew what time the thief was coming, he would not let him break a hole. “You too, be prepared, because at an hour when you least expect the Son of Man is coming.” Peter asked him, “Lord, did you tell that parable for us or for everyone?” The Lord answered him: «Who is the faithful and caring administrator whom the master has placed in charge of his servants to distribute their ration at their times? Blessed is the servant whom his master, upon arrival, finds behaving like this. I assure you that he will put him in charge of all his assets. But if the employee thinks: “My master is late in arriving,” and begins to beat the boys and girls, to eat and drink and get drunk, that servant’s master will arrive on the day and at the hour when he least expects it and will fire him, condemning him to the punishment of those who are not faithful. The servant who knows what his master wants and is not willing to put it into practice will receive many lashes; He who does not know it, but does something worthy of punishment, will receive few. To whom much was given, much will be required; “To whom much was entrusted, more will be required.”
