Friday, November 6, 2026 Reading from the letter of the Apostle Saint Paul to the Philippians (3:17-4:1): Follow my example, brothers, and pay attention to those who walk according to the model that you have in us. Because, as I told you many times, and now I repeat it with tears in my eyes, there are many who walk as enemies of the cross of Christ: their whereabouts are perdition; his God, the womb; its glory, its shame. They only aspire to earthly things. We, on the other hand, are citizens of heaven, from where we await a Savior: the Lord Jesus Christ. He will transform our humble body, according to the model of his glorious body, with that energy he possesses to submit everything to Him. So then, my beloved and longed-for brothers, my joy and my crown, stay like this, in the Lord, dear ones. Word of God administrator began to make his calculations: «What am I going to do now that my master takes away my job? I don’t have the strength to dig; begging makes me ashamed. «I already know what I’m going to do so that, when they kick me out of the administration, I can find someone to welcome me into their home.» He called his master’s debtors one by one and said to the first: «How much do you owe my master?» He answered: «One hundred barrels of oil.» He said to him, “Here is your receipt; Hurry, sit down and write fifty.” Then he said to another: «And you, how much do you owe?» He answered, «One hundred bushels of wheat.» He said to him: «Here is your receipt, write eighty.» And the master congratulated the unjust administrator for the cunning with which he had proceeded.
