Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church

The Church is called the group of faithful united by the same faith, and who celebrate the same religious doctrines. Also, it is the building that they consecrate to God and that they dedicate worship to him. … In sociology, the Church is characterized as an organized and institutionalized religious group.

The Church is catholic, that is, it is universal, and apostolic, because it received a mission from the apostles and their successors, to teach all nations what Jesus taught them, and confirms us in the faith through an infallible Shepherd. And it is Roman because Peter chose Rome as his apostolic see, and Catholics who are directly subject to him have the same rite that we call Latin.
